To me, this looks awesome. But I, also, love M. Night Shyamalan-----just not his "twist" endings (except in Sixth Sense). Anyone know anything about this flick.

The preview I saw in theaters didn't really reveal too much. All it showed was Phoenix in a Druid get-up, and doors with red slashes painted on them. But to be honest, I really don't expect anything that great.

Of M. Night Shyamalan's movies I liked Sign's the best but I think he is runin out of idea's!

It looks okay but I'll probably rent it instead of seein it in the theaters!!

I agree with Brian. I'm not really expecting anything to great though the preview did peak my interest. I like "Sixth Sense" and "Signs" but though "Unbreakable" was pretty unbearable (sorry for the pun).

I think Shyamalan gets a bad wrap with many movie fans. They think that just because 6th Sense had a big twist that he's trying to put a BIG twist in all his movies.

Judged individually, I think each movie he's done has been very interesting and unique...possibly even getting better with each outting.

I think the next generation would look back and see criticism of Shyamalan's post-6th Sense work as odd.

As for the VIllage...we'll have to wait and see.

I liked The Sixth Sense well enough, but Signs was sort of a trainwreck. I'm mildly intrigued but not particularly excited for The Village.

The plot twist at the end killed it for me.

Well, I'm so far behind the power curve that I hadn't seen the coming attraction until today on ESPN and the Dodgers game. I was playing brother hal's cd, so I didn't hear any sound; "Dr. Robert" was playing. There was one split-second image which reminded me of the Philip Kaufman/ Donald Sutherland/ Leonard Nimoy remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." It was probably a red herring, but if it wasn't, I hope you heard it here first. Wow, I wonder what the music or sound effects were if it's not a red herring. I know exactly what I would have played. Later, gators.

Really? Because thanks to the miracle of Tivo, I haven't actually watched a commercial in an age, but even in fast forward I could see that they have been playing ads for The Village for FOREVER ... or maybe it's just been a really LONG month.
