Yes, I am doing it, yes, I am sorry. I don't watch the show as often as I used to but I still watch the rerun episodes at 8 occasionally. The writers of the show are genius and Jon Stewart is makes 'fake news' something to be proud of.

Remember when Craig Kilborn hosted it? I don't remember the specifics so much as I just remember the show getting really not funny after Jon Stewart took over.

I love Steven Colbert. He is a really funny guy, and was outstanding on Strangers With Candy. Speaking of which...

As for Colbert, I love his weekly segment "This week in God" (Beep boop boop beep boop boop...beep...boop...boop....boop). Another thing that I like about the show is the inside jokes that are often included.

Jon Stewart is so amazingly insightful and observant about his humor, he really makes a hilarious show.

Craig Kilborn...eh. He had his merits, but his style was kind of deliberately hokey. "It's Thursday, and I'd like to dance..dance...dance!" He was a spoof on newsanchors who was okay at delivering jokes other people wrote. Jon Stewart is absolutely hilarious, and they've got a few great correspondants. I think I like all of them except Samantha Bee. I miss Steve Karrell though.

I found Yesterday (Thursday)'s episode hilarious. It was full of irony.

Whilst Cheney is saying how great a response has been with hurricane victimes he has visited, someone yells "Go F*** yourself, Cheney," it was great.

Then it showed a Fox News headline that said, and I quote, "President: John Roberts is a Gentleman." That was literally the first thing that Bush had to say about his beloved candidate.

I am going to recommend that whoever is interested, watch this week's episodes. It is a special devoted towards the "evolution debate" entitled "evolution schmevolution."

I've been a fan of Jon Stewart for a long time, and I love the Daily Show--he's the reason I started watching it. Isn't Stephen Colbert supposed to be getting his own show, too? Or did it start already? I've been looking for Stewart's Unleavened HBO show forever. It's tough to find, but I finally managed to. It's hysterical. Anyway, I got it at dvdtribe.com if anyone's interested.

I know Comedy Central aired some hour long Jon Stewart standup special the day before he took control of the Daily Show, and it was hilarious..

The Colbert Report starts on the 17th. It looks to be in the style of Foxnews' aggressive investigative journalism. Should be hilarious.

My favorite episode is where they do that sketch about how Americans use too much gasoline, and that balding guy drives around in a stretch Navigator for the whole bit.

The part that cracked me up, though, is when he's filling up the tank, and he drives another car to get to the front and to wipe the windows. Funniest part I've seen on that show.

I love the Daily Show, i just don't get to watch it that often. And Jon Stewart is evidently supposed to host the Oscars (although you all probably already know that.)

What once was love for this show has turned to hate. Pull the plug and let Stewart salvage some dignity.

The Daily Show isn't as good as it was a couple years ago but it's still pretty solid most of the time. I've been enjoying the Colbert Report more lately though.

That's about what I was thinking. I watched it not too long ago and he more or less said "Here's a clip from a recent speech by president Bush, see for yourself how stupid it is," then the clip they showed was this bunch of pieced together sound bites taken totally out of context. I'm not a Bush supporter (closer to the opposite), but it was a pretty cheap shot.

His ability to maintain his presence as a political comedian on the show is deteriorating.

Rick Mercer and Stephen Colbert provide far superior satire on their respective shows.

I am an avid fan of 'The Daily Show' & 'The Colbert Report' (I'll express my love for Colbert in the proper thread). Just talking about last night's show, Jon Stewart's impression of Prez George W. Bush is the most hilarious one I've ever seen! His "story" on the President's "Reasonable Proposal" was fantastic! The recap of his argument with Ambassador John Bolton & of Jon waking up to the fact he was wrong, which then ends with him calling Doris Kearns Goodwin to set things straight. This was a great moment to witness!

I think I love the show so much because it makes political news watchable. While it is a comedic show, the events they talk about are true. With the right spin, politics are funny. His interviews, though short, are very good when he talks with those in politics & funny with the occasional stars. Oh, yeah! The insults he made against Obama & Hillary to fuel their "feud" were great! I watch each episode everytime it is on, 7pm, 10pm, & 12am central. I can't get enough!

Monkey Boy, as an avid political-satire interperter, what are your reactions to the sketches by Rick Mercer or Bill Maher?

I used to enjoy 'Politically Incorrect', but I think now Bill Maher is only on HBO & I regretably only have TMC & Showtime. I've never seen Rick Mercer before.
