The now cancelled Standoff series about FBI negotiators is one of those great series that didn't attract an audience. This series combines both humor and drama well and is great entertainment while providing serious elements of hostage situations. It combines both fun and relief, de-stressing entertainment while at the same time offering a strong dose of serious drama and emotional catharis. People we care about die but at the same time the humor and a continuing positive attitude allows life to go on. This series provided a great message while it continued on screen.

Glad to see that someone else appreciated STANDOFF. It was a solid outing that I think was limited by its premise; instead of throwing the two leads together in every hostage crisis (which wouldn't happen in reality), it would've been nice to really see them function as part of a greater team.

Plus, the chick is hot.

This was a fantastic show that was totally marketed wrong. Actually I should add for the little promotion it got. This show offered a plot within a plot and that appealed to this thirty-something person who refuses to join in the B.S. of reality TV.

FOX needs to get a clue about how to handle a great drama/roamance show. I have talked to a few friends who are die hard Bones fans, and who stated that Standoff was just as enjoyable if not better written. I have to agree. Standoff deserves a second look by viewers and Fox execs.

It (sadly) won't really get a second look b/c Fox burned off the rest of the ordered eps in a dead time slot, but I'm (at least) glad to have watched the show from the beginning. I'll easily pick it up on DVD if it comes out (hopefully with some extras). Many eps were standard formula stories, but they were very well done.

Plus, as I said before, the chick was great to watch. I certainly hope she lands another show.

It was a great show. It was so exciting. There was another show just like standoff. That well take a guess.... it was cancelled!! But I don't remember the name of it. do you know the name? It seems like everytime I like a show it gets cancelled LOL.
