Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the Region 1 DVD release of Twin Peaks: The Second Season for 10th April 2007. David Lynch and Mark Frost created Twin Peaks.
The show is set in the town of Twin Peaks in northeast Washington State and tells the story of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) and his investigation of the murder of a popular local teenage schoolgirl, Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee).
The sound is re-maserted in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, and the original 2.0 audio.
The supplements will be announced soon.
Mr. Lynch has promised that this television series is being released on DVD at the recent screenings of his Inland Empire. He is correct.
It is obvious that since the recent Twin Peaks Season 1 has been pulled off shelves that they will release both seasons in a definitive package.
It is still uncertain whether or not Lynch will release the Fire Walk With Me additional scenes (that is supposedly expected too).
It's about time they released season 2. I preordered my copy yesterday.
I watched "Fire Walk With Me" Friday night. What additional scenes are there? Then I saw the pilot episode last night and it needs a dvd release. My video copy is still good but getting worn down.

A fantastic show... Just picked up the DVD yesterday, I needed a refresher so I also picked up the pilot and 1st Season off of Ebay (that was about a week ago). So I just started the second season and it's definitely held up really well.
