Who remembers the good old days of Ren & Stimpy? I use to love this show when I was a kid. I was recently watching the DVD release of seasons 1, 2 and 3.
It’s funny because when I was a kid there were allot of jokes that I didn’t get, but were outrageously delivered at the same time, so still appealing, but now I look back on it and find new things that make the show even more hilarious/sick and twisted.
A favourite episode of mine is the one when Stimpy starts getting heaps of fan mail, and Ren becomes jealous, so Stimpy appoints Ren as President of his fan club to make him feel more important, but ends up back firing when Ren has to read and write back to all the fan mail which is full of children’s insults about Ren.
It’s gold, there’s this twisted scene where Ren goes insane at night, as he begins to ponder the decision to destroy the idol of millions by killing Stimpy.
Lol, I still laugh when I think about it.

I heard Seasons 3-6 have been released on DVD, I’ll be picking that up this week
What the hell were the writers of this show on? Seriously, take the quote below, it’s probably a parody of something I’m unaware of, if so please inform me, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was just random craziness.
Ren: Pss, hey Guido, its all so clear to me now. I'm the keeper of the cheese and you're the lemon merchant, you get it? And he knows it. That's why he's gonna kill us. So we got to beat it, ya, before he let's loose the marmosets on us. Don't worry little missy, I'll save you.
And I’m almost tempted to change my tag to this:
Narrator: How can he possibly resist the maddening urge to erradicate history at the mere push of a single button? The beautiful, shiny button? The jolly, candy-like button? Will he hold out, folks? Can he hold out?

I really miss that show. And you're absolutely right cause, the jokes were there when we were younger and semi funny, but today when we watch and get a better concept of the show, it's absolutely hilarious.
