Why is this show coming on CBS(?)?

Did I see that right?

I just don't see how it could be made PG on networks compared to R for Showtime.

Apparently it’s because of the writers strike. From what I’ve briefly read, It’s going to be heavily edited, not only to sensor some of the content, but also to cut the run time down, since an episode of Dexter runs for generally around 55 minutes, and they’ll need to cut it down to around the 45 minute mark.
