South Park 1008 Make Love Not Warcraft

The new South Park is up on the episode stream site. I thought it was pretty good. Kind of a big advertisement for Warcraft but the way they drew the kids fat and the supergamer was awesome.

Overall, the first two episodes of the new season have been what I have come to expect from South Park. The first episode was a pointless but funny spoof and the second one was a less-than-half-serious spoof on the "9/11 truth" movement. Also had some great quotes about "dropping a dook in the urinal." Good stuff...

South Park 1009 The Mystery of the Urinal Deuce

I was v. pleased by this one. Cartman putting on glasses then taking them off for dramatic effect was lols.

South Park has to be one of the best shows ever. Yes it has sick bits in it and of course heaps of swearing but if you see past this you realise how clever they are. They open you eyes to religion, politics, moral issues all sorts of things. They achieve this through the unique dark South Park comedy.

very bad taste, I agree.

I didn't particularly like that episode. Satan got really annoying, intentionally I guess. The Biggie Smalls thing was kinda funny but I find it hard to believe that he could fire a gun when he's five feet away from someone in a bathroom and miss. It happened like three times and each time he fired multiple shots.

I found that joke kind of innocuous. And I can't believe anybody would whine about it actually watched it. It wasn't a bad joke about Irwin's death, it was a bad joke about that joking about Irwin's death would be in bad taste.

I pity anybody who still acts shocked when South Park touches on a comedy faux-pas. Watching South Park and complaining when you get offended is like watching pornography and complaining about the nudity.

Overall I found the episode sort of an average South Park episode. Lots of funny moments, but overall eh.

I did watch this particular episode and found the joke harmless, myself. I don't think that ones type of humor has anything to do with taste. I do agree with Art in that it is to be expected from Stone and Parker, if you become offended by such humor your probably should not be watching South Park to begin with. As for the post before mine, I would like to welcome Flake to the site but remind all of our members that there is a large difference between bashing a poster and putting forth a rebuttle.

I dunno. I thought it was kind of innocuous.

To mock the death of Steve Irwin probably was the worst thing Stone and Parker have done but there's no sence in being shocked or offended by this. South Park have taken the piss out of countless celebs, why should Irwin be any different?

Yep. Leland's still a dick.

To rebut his passive aggressive attack against me, the 'metacritic expert on pathetic whining', Lelend would be the 'metacritic expert on pointless pathetic personal attacks that a few people are mildly amused by but nobody really cares about and are clearly meant to bolster his own undeserved ego by targetting an easy scapegoat'.

I believe that he finally read this thread again and found your 'innocuous' joke that I found humorous that he, most likely, overreacted to. In summation, everybody needs to lighten the fuck up.

So how about that two-parter? The otters were easily the funniest part, but I liked the very end of it as well.

Well, it appears that this season is in the books and, overall, it was an excellent mixed bag of stupid humor and satire of current events. There were not really any episodes that were instant classics or duds, but on the whole, it was a very solid collection.
