I heard the Sonic Youth cover of "superstar" originally by the carpenters recently. I was blown away. Everyone's heard this song 1000 times and the scene from Tommy Boy w/chris farley is classic. But this cover gave the song an entirely new meaning. To me, its quite moving and evoked some pretty profound thoughts and emotions. My question is what are some songs that might be similar to this... in your opinion?
I strongly recommend Jeff Buckley's version of HALLELUJAH. It just gives a new meaning and life to the song. From a reggae track into a painful, surreal masterpiece that sends a chill up your spine, and makes your hair stand on end.
Best cover version ever in my opinion.

What if Obama gets into White House and turns out to be some crazy muslim terrorist? What do we do then? We'll be pretty screwed. It could happen." -- by some fucking nutjob
