I've been able to find all of it except the last few tracks. I love it! Her voice has a wonderful Nico-esque quality to it, and I think the production is what makes the album. If the production wasn't there, you could call it an imitation of Nico's Chelsea Girl and be done with it. It's definitely a beginning to end listen, so I'm anxious to hear the rest of the tracks. The tracks don't stand well on their own, but together it's quite a beautiful, evocative album. ScarJo might just be going on my year end list...
riiiight.

Honestly, her voice is one of the best and most unique female voices I've heard in a long time. The album drags a bit here and there, but it does have a chance at making my list as well. There are some great songs on here, and her voice is killer.

"Fanning Street" stands out and the duet and the friendship with Bowie brought her really the popularity to the wider audience.

love the introductory instrumental; the rest is blah to me

Ok let's forget all those arguments about how good she looks (because you can't hear it, trust me) and please don't (don't) compare her to nico. the thing for me is that she doesn't hit the emotional tone of these songs...and the overproduction further obfuscates any sense of what mad-eyed grinning misanthropic emotional clarity the originals had. anywhere i lay my head. I effing love that song. it sums up to me how i feel when i get drunk and i go out alone....or when i'm stayin home and trying to write something good on a saturday night. that whisky-coated pain and angst from every note that waits sings, the surreal words that choke up your throat like anger and sadness and fierce-jubilation all at the same time. then the fadeout and the horn kick...like i'm gonna dance and party right here all alone and in the last of my clothes tonight
and scarlett absolutely ruined it for me.took away everything the song had going for it
