I'm trying to remember a mid/late 90's alt rock track that was on mtv. I remember it kind of sounding like Beck (it isn't) and the video contained worms. It had a really catchy guitar hook. Any help would be appreciated : )

Hey there, I think I'm having the same challenge. Your description sounds like the same song I'm trying to remember myself. Aside from what you've mentioned I also remember it sounding very mellow and groovy at the same time. The lyrics were sung almost in a slurring kind of style. I've been trying so hard to brainstorm who it might be, Pearl Jam, Inxs, Better than Ezra,...etc. And I specifically remember the word "One" being mentioned in the lyrics. Like you said, any help at all would be appreciated. It was a really cool song. I would hate for it to be forgotton in time.

I'd bet you're thinking of "Natural One" by Folk Implosion, one of Lou Barlow's many projects. I'm not familiar with the video, and it's not on youtube, so I can't verify that.

I don't remember the video either, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that's the song.

Incidentally, that was from the soundtrack to the movie Kids, which introduced the world to Rosario Dawson and Chloe Sevigny.
