Whats your favourite Muse song. Mine changes a lot because with repeated listens, there are inumberable gems to be found. At the moment, my favourite is Hate This And I'll Love You from Showbiz. Its got such a powerful emotional chorus. And if anything should have stopped the radiohead comparisons, it should have been this. Thom Yorke could never sing that way. Other honorable mentions, Plug in Baby, Stockholm Syndrome, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Space Dementia.

Fair deuce to Thom Yorke for singing as well as he does. He just rarely sings as powerfully as that particular chorus in Hate This And I'll Love You. The closest I can think of is the 'you've not been paying attention' part of 2+2=5 or the 'why don't you remember my name' bit in Paranoid Android. And I suppose The Tourist is pretty powerful too. Hmmm, maybe I havn't thought this through. Oh well, most of the time, Thom Yorke sings in a restrained way. Think Sail To The Moon, Everything on Kid A, Fake Plastic Trees etc. Anyway, long live both Muse and Radiohead.

Sunburn is amazing. I also love Stockholm Syndrome and Eraserhead(amazing guitar).

I feel Bellamy is a stronger vocalist than Yorke as well, but hey, just my opinion.

"Map of The Problematique".

Of the three Muse albums I've picked up (Showbiz, Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations) their latest definitely has the most that would qualify for favorite. Though next in line after Map is Hysteria or Stockholm Syndrome. Wink

You should definitely check out Origin of Symmetry. In my opinion, its there best. It has so many standout songs- New Born, Bliss, Space Dementia, Plug in Baby, Citizen Erased, Micro Cuts, Darkshines, Feeling Good.

I've heard some of it on their official site (very, very low-quality obviously Wink) but I still haven't found it at the right price. I'm looking for it. Smiler

Has Muse cracked America now then?
I can't believe no one has mentiond "Knights of Cydonia" from the latest album. It is quite possably the best thing they have done and amasing live!
BTW i saw them last night in Manchester. All i can say is OMG, best live act i have ever seen (and i've seen the likes of REM, Chili Peppers & Radiohead)!

Indeed, they hit #9 on the Billboard album chart with their latest. Wink (I don't follow these things, I just looked it up on Wikipedia. Wink)

For me it is impossible to pick a favourite - from the albums they have released so far I am yet to hear a real dud.

But if I was pushed I would have to say my current favourite is Plug in Baby - what a great song.

I don't understand Muse detractors - whats not to love here.

They will rule the world, stop global warming, end famine and reduce the cost of haircuts throughtout the world.

I have even started eating Muesli as it sounds a bit the same although it goes right through me where Muse get stuck in my head for days.

I'm going to say I quite enjoy "Starlight" off the new one. I should listen to Origin of Symmetry more, though - the only one that's really appealed to me from that one is New Born.
