I'm also going to see pearl jam, the day before radiohead. I was one of the lucky 8000. What are they like live. I heard they play really long shows.

I've seen PJ live over a dozen times, 5 times in Europe. I thought the European shows were better than the U.S. shows, the crowd was way more hyped.

They do play really long shows but they don't seem long because the vibe is so amazing. I'd say most PJ fans are pretty diehard and it's just a big sing a long. If you have a chance to see them live, do it! They totally rock the house.

My favorite live show was in Katowice, Poland, just west of Auschwitz. I was in Poland with my girlfriend who is Polish born and raised. It was her younger sister who had the tickets, she's a huge PJ and Radiohead fan. I hadn't planned on seeing PJ while in Europe this trip, so I was pumped to find out the my gf's sister had tickets.

It was a 2 day show and we caught the first day. It was in an auditorium, not huge, but big enough to hold around 2 thousand people. I thought is was funny how everyone knew all the words to the songs but few really knew what they meant.

Needless to say, it was quite the experience. Rocking out to one of my favorite bands with a bunch of Polish kids in a place where less than a decade earlier the communists ruled. I think the guys from PJ were pretty psyched about it too, they were definetly feelin' the love. I bought the official bootlegs of the Katowice concert. It's a very fond memory.
