i never minded the white stripes, until now. get behind me satan is certainly a different turn from their usual, but am i the only one who thinks they ripped of death from above 1979's sound? dfa1979 came out with a sond i've never heard before (maybe they ripped it off somebody else, but i HIGHLY doubt it). first thing i thought of when i heard the first single off GBMS was, wat are they trying to do? jack white is a competent bassist, and he did a good job of making the bass work sound like jesse keeler's, but meg is a far less than competent drummer, and it makes the whole thing ridiculous. but what pisses me off even more is that when people talk about dfa1979, they say stuff like , oh yeah, they sound like the white stripes! anybody else pissed at the whites?
