Not sure if there's another thread discussing this album, I didn't see one. Anyway, this is an interesting little album. I really like the songs, they're quite catchy. Some of the lyrics are a bit elementary but all in all it's a great offer from an up and coming artist.
I've listened to this quite a few times. I think it starts off really well then by the end is dragging a bit. Still, good album - much more slick than her first one
This is one of my top albums of the year. Really catchy stuff that never gets boring as the album progresses, and that separates her from other mainstream pop acts for me. I agree with you on the lyrics though. They won't do much by themselves.
Alright, Still had that fun, Bridget Jonesy, surly little girl attitude going for it whereas It's Not Me is kinda bland. I understand all the "maturing as an artist" blah blah blah, but it doesn't change the fact It's Not Me is dull. I deleted it a month after DL'ing it, but I find myself still listening to Alright, Still from time to time.
Since Lily has said she's not making any more albums, I'm kinda apathetic about her. She's said recently there's no more money to be made in the music industry so she's becoming a fashion designer or some such thing.
