I've e-mailed them again everyday since ordering the download. But, the idea of giving them authorization to charge my credit card again after they screwed up the first time terrifies me. I'll wait until the 10th and see if I get my download instructions.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the browser I was using (Opera). Maybe I'll try again with Firefox. I absolutely will not use IE7. ********************** Metal-Archives POTDquote: im looking for pretty much the most uninspired/unoriginal brutal and/or slam death. with little or no variation in vocals. stuff like disgorge(us) and condemned.

If you pay $0.00, they won't ask you for any credit card info. As to your inquiry, ezkc, I used Firefox the first time too. The main difference is that I used my Gmail email address the first time and a Yahoo one the second. I was thinking it was maybe a problem with Gmail receiving email from waste.co.uk.

I tried that but there's some funny business about a queue ("We respect your custom..."). I ended up paying 0:1 (10 pence?), using a different e-mail, Opera, and I just got the confirmation. Go me. As for gmail, I hope that's not the case. What the hell else haven't I received then? ********************** Metal-Archives POTDquote: im looking for pretty much the most uninspired/unoriginal brutal and/or slam death. with little or no variation in vocals. stuff like disgorge(us) and condemned.

The queue just means to "please wait for the next available service representative". I already had a confirmation from the site, but I never got one from e-mail. I guess I was deluding myself that they'd give me the code. So I pulled an eric, I signed on as my daughter, paid zilch for the download (I already paid 40 pounds for the Discbox), and was "put in a queue" for about two minutes. Then it came on and said the order had been taken and that I would get an email confirmation shortly. That's what happened, but of course, still no download code or instructions. I guess that totally makes sense though.

I think the queue is only when you pay zip. As soon as you enter any amount >0, there is no queue. (There may be a spoon, however.) ********************** Metal-Archives POTDquote: im looking for pretty much the most uninspired/unoriginal brutal and/or slam death. with little or no variation in vocals. stuff like disgorge(us) and condemned.

Well, I went Eric's route and purchased the download again for $0.00. I got a confirmation right away. The website said that the activation code would be in the e-mail sent out with the confirmation e-mail, but the confirmation e-mail said that the activation code will be sent out on October 10 with the downloading instructions. So, probably, we did not have to sign up for the download again. But, hey, better safe than sorry.

Me too. Now, will we get the album as promised? That remains to be seen...

i'm not sure the radiohead fanbase has 5 billion people but it is true that only a band like radiohead with such a solid fanbase could pull off something like this. and it is not their style to brag about how much preorders they sold... four days left... are you guys expecting a good album b/c right now i have really low expectations, maybe i don't want to be "let down" but for whatever reason i'm not as excited for this album as I thought I would be.

I'm excited about the album, and I think it'll be good, but for whatever reason I don't really see it topping my list this year. Maybe because it's a bunch of songs a lot of people already know (even though I don't) I fear it's going to sound like a collection of songs more than an album album, and I'd prefer the latter.

Radiohead hasn't disappointed ME for a very long time. I don't expect them to change.

Well I just ordered the download, got the confirmation email etc. Hurrah! Personally I'm looking forward to hearing it a lot...perhaps because it'll be the first Radiohead album I'll listen to. I bet I'm the only one here who can say that, ey?

I dunno. Both Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief felt like a group of songs rather than an actual concentrated album like Kid A or OK Computer. Hopefully In Rainbows will be different.

all of radiohead's albums have been just that...albums, not "collections of songs". collections of songs were the very first beatles albums, mere vehicles for selling hit singles. i don't think any band makes collections of songs and calls them albums anymore.
