I'm checking it out right now - I've heard the first 6 songs, listening to the 7th. I really like the sound of his voice. Pretty songs also.
I was just searching for a review on this album and because I couldn't find one I checked the forum for some info. I'm glad at least 1 person checked out the cd too

not just the top 20, the albums been number 1 for the past 3 weeks and the single, 'Your Beautiful', has been number 1 for the last 2. Which I understand to be because it's mostly popular with women who like handsome sensitive types. 'shrugs'. I can't understand this because nearly everyone I know can't stand his voice, me included. His normal talking voice is also unusually high.

Is there anyone else out there who feels the same as I do about James Blunt? How was this man allowed to bring out an album? He has a woeful voice that makes an alley cat sound like one of the Three Tenors! He repeats himself in his songs. Ok, so…you’re beautiful. You don’t have to repeat it 50 billion times mate! We heard you the first time me old china! We have to suffer his music in the office as we work, and everytime one of his songs are played, a bit of each of our lives embers away from us. If you feel the same, then post your view, as the Blunt The Blunt Campaign Movement gets into full swing. Thank you for reading.
James Blunt's voice is pretty much off, but if you can get past that, the music sounds pretty good and his lyrics are okay. I would have to say his alright but not great.
I would say something to the tune of "haha, James Blunt sucks" except that now I'm afraid that this might be some socialogical experiment to see how many people can't resist putting down others' music tastes on the Internet. Because nobody would ever advertise the fact that he listens to James Blunt.
My sister and I share music a lot. Most of the time it's me turning her onto good music. She burned me a copy of her James Blunt cd.
This is my take...
He sucks. I don't like his voice, his lyrics are shallow but are just interesting enough to make some people think they're deep, the music is cliched an unoriginal as well.
Of course not mark, she loves the guy, listens to him all the time. I'm not gonna burst her bubble. Of course, I don't mind bursting the bubbles of my fellow members here cause they ask for it.
I was thinking about Damn Good Time they took that song off the radio. I don't even listen to the radio, but since I'm at the gym every day, I noticed that it shoves its dirty claws into airwaves like every 10 minutes. I hate that godawful song, and considering it's supposed to be the "best" of the cd...let's say I'd rather not hear any more.

James Blunt was actually banned from a British radio station because the listeners were just fed up with his shit. And by God, so am I. It is really among the worst shit even for popular radio.

i could NOT agree more. james blunt sounds like a squeaky 12-year old boy. needless to say, he is one of my top most-hated singers of all time.

Adieu!
The Blunter
I'm with you mate! James Blunt? Lets just say that his personality rhymes with his surname. Also is this some kind of ironic joke putting a thread about him in the alternative section? His music is so middle of the road it's in danger of being run over!
