Radiohead are my favourite band and on their principals it's unlikly that they'll ever release a best of compilation. So, I made my own.
This is the Tracklisting:

2. I Might be Wrong (Amnesiac)
3. There There (Hail to the Thief)
4. Talk Show Host (B-Side)
5. FAke Plastic Trees ( The Bends)
6. Knives Out (Amnesiac)
7. Idioteque (Kid A)
8. Creep (Pablo Honey)
9. Just (The Bends)
10. Karma Police (OK Computer)
11. Myxomatosis ( Hail to the Thief)
12. Pyramid Song (Amnesiac)
13. My Iron Lung (The Bends)
14. No Surprises (OK Computer)
15. How to Disappear Completly (Kid A)
16. Street Spirit (The Bends)
17. Life in A Glasshouse (Amnesiac)

Feel free to comment on it.
OK so now I'm wondering what other peoples best of's would include and as I had 17 tracks so can you.
Have fun, I did.

No "Paranoid Android"? No "Morning Bell" (or even "Morning Bell/Amnesiac")? No "High & Dry"?

Replace "My Iron Lung", "How to Diappear Completely", and "Talk Show Host" with these three and you might be onto something.

I don't have time to make my own Best Of right now. I like all the albums too well to cut and paste anyway, but "How to Disappear Completely" is easily one of their best songs! You see, that's the problem (or fun) with personal taste. Smiler

I think a Radiohead best-of compilation is heresy. Radiohead is one of the few bands out there that is actually making cohesive, meaningful albums. To take the songs out of their context deprives them of much of their impact. I hope they never make a Radiohead compilation.

Well, if you see them in concert, they're going to play the songs out of context. Is a live Radiohead show heresy?

Note: I agree that they're one of only a handful of bands making cohesive albums. I'm just playing the devil's advocate and trying to stir up trouble.

This list seems a little more like something Radiohead would release themselves- I remember hearing an interview with the band where they specifically said that they wanted to try and distance themselves as far as possible form their hit single, "Creep".

I tried to resist making a list, but this is a fun topic. I think it would be interesting to try it with numerous bands. Here's mine:

1. Airbag
2. Creep
3. Pyramid Song
4. Fake Plastic Trees
5. Let Down
6. Knives Out
7. Paranoid Android
8. My Iron Lung
9. How to Disappear Completely
10. Karma Police
11. Idiotheque
12. 2+2=5
13. No Surprises
14. There There
15. True Love Waits
16. Street Spirit (Fade Out)

That's tough. Sadly, I picked mostly singles. Fortunately, they're great at picking singles. I must say that any Radiohead "best of" that doesn't end with "Street Spirit" is flawed. It's one of the greatest closers ever.

Although it's far from being in my top 16 Radiohead songs, I think "Creep" has to be on there for historical importance alone. I loved the song, and Pablo Honey when it came out, but after Radiohead became the coolest band in the world in '97 I decided I had to be cool and dislike "Creep" just like they seemingly did. However, when I saw them at Coachella last year, they played it near the end of their set, and dedicated it to their, (and my) favorite band, the Pixies. Go figure... Oh, and by the way, they are the best live band I've ever seen, hands down.

I'm going to make a Radiohead "best of" EP.

1. Everything in its Right Place
2. Paranoid Android
3. Fake Plastic Trees
4. Morning Bell/Amnesiac

Of course they had more great songs, but the idea of a greatest hits EP cracked me up, so I decided to try it out in this thread.

Wow. A best of Radiohead set would likely include all of their albums. Just too hard to narrow it down, so I've selected my favourite tracks from each album ...a mini-EP 'Greatest Hit's if you will.

Pablo Honey - Stop Whispering
The Bends - Just
OK Computer - (tough to pick ...) Let Down
Kid A - Everything in it's right place
Amnesiac - Pyramid Song
Hail to the Thief - There There

Hmm. This is the best I can do, even though it's still missing a lot of utterly vital material.

1) Street Spirit (Fade Out) (bends)
2) The Trickster (my iron lung ep)
3) Paranoid Android (okc)
4) Talk Show Host (romeo & juliet sdtk)
5) There There (ht^3)
6) Black Star (bends)
7) True Love Waits (i might be wrong live lp)
8) Gagging Order (go to sleep cd-a)
9) Lucky (okc)

Side B:
1) Everything In Its Right Place (kid a)
2) The Gloaming (ht^3)
3) Idioteque (kid a)
4) I Might Be Wrong (amnesiac)
5) How To Disappear Completely (kid a)
6) Climbing Up the Walls (okc)
7) You And Whose Army (amnesiac)
8) Wolf at the Door (ht^3)
9) Life In A Glasshouse (Full Length Version) (knives out cd-b)

I've always wanted to do this:
(no particular order)
1.Planet Telex
2.Idioteque
3.Morning Bell
4.Paranoid Android
5.Let Down
6.Everything In Its Right Place
7.Karma Police
8.Climbing Up The Walls
9.Street Spirit (Fade Out)
10.A Wolf At The Door

And I know I'm forgetting something. Or a lot of things.

Edit - ADDING:

Go To Sleep, Punchup at a Wedding, There There, Knives Out. I felt bad cutting them to make it just 10.
