Dig Lazarus Dig!!! got an 88 on metacritic. apparently all critics love it.
i simply wouldn't give it more than a low 70s score. i've listened to it only half a dozen times. maybe i'm missing something

I haven't really got into his latest either. It doesn't have the melancholy of a lot of his previous stuff (and for me, that's bad - he's best when he's miserable) and the songs lack melody. The title track's pretty good, though.

I tried to get into Nick Cave for awhile, but ultimately I find him massively overrated. He seems to be three parts Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, and Jim Morrison. Which would be great if each of those weren't significantly better and more interesting.
