Did you catch Wilco on the Colbert Report last night?

First, Colbert interviewed Tweedy, and then the band did a song called "Wilco, the song." I don't know if it was a new song, but they claimed it was a Colbert exclusive you would never hear anywhere else (probably because they changed the lyrics to include Colbert's name in it).

Some of the highlights from the interview:

Tweedy on why giving away songs on their website does not make him a socialist: "We're just bad capitalists"

Tweedy on Obama's response when he asked two years ago if Wilco can play at the inauguration:
"If Hillary asks you to."

Colbert on trying to match Tweedy's energy: "Oh, I think my heart just stopped."

Classic!

I liked "Wilco The Song". I can honestly say it's the best tune I've heard from Tweedy since Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. I also liked Stephen's suggestion that Tweedy get a more rock n' roll name, like Joffrey Velvet.
