Honestly, I only saw this movie because Wall-E was "out of the question" for most of my friends. They cited the "gayness" of going to a G rated robot disney movie with a bunch of 7 year olds.
So, I sat through this bending bullet-fest and was just in awe of how awful it turned out to be. The twists in the plot weren't all that great, the action just made me laugh, and the plot devices like exploding rats, the loom of fate, and angelina jolies tattooed ass did nothing for me. Definitely my choice for worst of 08...

I recently saw this movie again, this time on video when I watched it with somebody else. I understand how ludricous the much of the physical action sequences were yet I was intriqued by the plot twists and the emotional sacrifice at the end. The undertone was deliciously wicked and The Karate Kid (1984) was fun and entertaining. Yes, it was dumb in a number of ways. It was unbelievable and yes I'm a hypocrite for liking the movie more than I should based on my problems with King Kong (2005). I guess I like Angelina Jolie too much, it's hard for me not be a movie critic softy whenever she's in a movie.
