Well, in The Return of the King, he's dressed up as one of the pirates that has come on a boat to help defeat Gondor and then gets shot with an aroow, but I'm not entirely sure where this point is in the movie. Maybe when Gandalf is talking about how men are also fighting, maybe during the battle, but I'm not sure.

I love it when directors are involved with their work. It shows complusion to be in something you think is so great, that you have to be seen in it. I wish there was more directors like this. It really shows a closeness between man and movie.

in the first one, when the hobbits go into that town with the pub when it's raining, he is walking towards them eating a carrot. In the second one it shows him really briefly in the fight on the wall (he is in a soldier uniform so its kinda hard to recognize him) and i definitely second the last post quote: I love it when directors are involved with their work...
A couple other directors that do that are Hitchcock and M Night Shyamalan and i think its pretty sweet to see them acting in their own movies

Boomerang: Not only is his daughter in it, but his son as well! They're both in the same scene. Cameo 1: FotR: In Bree, he's eating a carrot as the hobbits walk past him, you see the cart, you've gone too far. Cameo 2: TTT: Its a really quick shot, but at Helms Deep, he hurls a spear into the oncoming Uruk-hia ranks coming up the walkway. Cameo 3: RotK: Pirate Captain, only see him quickly, the rather round man walking up the middle of the ship as Gandalf is describing what kind of forces Souron will bring to bear against them. Get the Extended Edition, in that, you see more of him, and he comes to an ungainly end.

Peter Jackson plays one of the machine gunners shooting at Kong on the Empire State Building, and his pilot is Rick Baker, the guy who played Kong in the '76 version and did special makeup effects for An American Werewolf in London.
