It looks like Ekim made a bit of a hasty judgment of his own. If he had read the original post more thoroughly, he might have noticed that it was really just the label Neo/Anti-Folk that Lola got mixed up (which is understandable, considering how reviewers have lumped banhart, espers, AC, etc into a group with many different labels {freak folk, psych folk, new americana}). It was really the bands she was interested in, not the super correct genre name.

That's pretty rich coming from someone with a single post.

Besides, Wikipedia can be edited by anyone... it doesn't make anything on there true (although i find it to be a great source of info on a lot of things, particularly bands)

also, i would sooner trust mass-edited, communal information sources such as wikipedia than the bullshit stone and spin throw at the populace

I was more referring to his "If you don't know what you're talking about, don't say anything at all" statement. I would tend to argue that one's first post shouldn't be an attack.

And yeah, I like Wikipedia a lot.

Personally, I dislike the term 'Neo-Folk' (as do the majority of artists burdened with this label) , but these records would fit into this 'genre'.
