i just listened to "punch" by the punch brothers (due out this year) and i was pretty blown away. progressive bluegrass? i didn't even know the genre existed. contemporary classical meets jazz improvisation in bluegrass style. wow. this will definitely take a few more listens to sink in, but as of right now i couldn't be more impressed.

I'm gonna listen to this one at some point. Sound really interesting. I might wait until my brother either buys it or gets or for his birthday.

I just listened to half of this album on a stream and was quite impressed. I'll have to pick it up to digest it all, but my initial listen was very positive.
