Thanks for the reminder about Polar Bear Isaac. I love Held On the Tips of Fingers, but I wasn't aware they were releasing a new one. This is great news.

Does the new Bar Kokhba album count? It sounds pretty nice to me, if it does.

Have you ever seen him live? He is AMAZING - he hasn't really had a major release in like 15 years so I http://www.buymusichere.net/rel/v2_viewupc.php?storenr=23&upc=67320310402 was really excited to pick up a copy of "State of Nature". It's truly brilliant (as is he) - you know he plays like 4 parts at the same time? His technique is called "tapping". You can find a bunch more about it on the web. Well anyway, this new album "State of Nature" is all about the ambient sounds of nature and only Jordan can truly capture the sound of "a breeze" and then turn it in into something amazing like the "Ocean Breeze" cut on this album.

Even better yet, he's out on tour and just hit the east coast so I was able to catch him in Camden. I've probably seen him perform 10 times, and he definitely gets better and better growing within his music.

You can hear some tracks or get the CD here (its a great online store) or you can listen to or get downloads here:

Also, if you like smooth jazz, Project Grand Slam has a new album "Play" out on Oct. 28th. There's already a free download of one of the tracks "Ode to Jerry" which you can get here.
