I'm looking to get deeper into Ellington's music, but his catalog is just so immense. If you guys could help me out by suggesting maybe like what you consider some of his most essential or your favorite albums/compilations, I'd really appreciate it. Cheers.

I'm not an expert on Ellington, but here are a couple I like to start with:
Ellington at Newport, 1956 First Time! The Count Meets the Duke 1961, with Count Basie Duke Ellington & John Coltrane, 1962
These all should be pretty easy to find on CD...I'm not as familiar with his earlier work, but I'd imagine you'd have to go to a good compilation for that.
