I'm thinking about heading to New Orleans for Jazz Fest this year...the line up looks incredible and I've heard that the city is definitely ready for people to come back, especially if they are bringing tourist dollars with them! So if I can help out and get to enjoy some great music, all the better.

Do you know where you'll be staying? Are you planning to spend some time touring around in the area?

I'm staying with a friend who goes to Tulane. I'll be in New Orleans on Saturday too, so I'll probably do some site-seeing then (I've never been to New Orleans other than just driving through). Should be fun! Are you going to be there the whole time? I wanted to see Dylan the weekend before, but o well.

Haven't totally figured out my plans yet...I better get on that! Hope it isn't too late!

I recommend checking out Louisiana Travel for info on stuff to do...there's a lot of attractions and restaurants listed. I was in NO a few years back and liked walking around the French Quarter and doing a cemetery tour. There's definitely no shortage of things to do!

I don't think I'm making down to JazzFest afterall but am so eager to hear how it goes! I heard it'll be livecast on MSN, so I'll have to tune into that. I bet it'll be great...wish I could be there! Hopefully I can get down to LA soon anyways...there's still lots to see and do.
