I quite like Cease To Begin. I didn't really give it a fair shot when it came out, but after giving it some more spins, I think I probably like it better than their debut.

Yeah, it's definitely not a record I would have had anywhere near our Top 50. I can't stand Band of Horses personally, but I just count the votes you know. You can thank most of the rest of the DOA staff for that one.

I really enjoyed Danny Marroquin's list.

Personally, I wasn't too impressed with the overall list either, but it is an overall list. I won't be very impressed with the MC overall list either.. I don't expect everyone's taste to be like mine and vice-versa.

I loved the TMT selections though (but still not the top list part, the other- beginning- part)

I was surprised at some of stuff that managed to creep into the DOA list near the end. I don't recall seeing Deathspell Omega and High On Fire on the main lists of any other site, or John Wiese either for that matter. The funny part is this, if you saw the Pitchforkmedia readers' choices for best albums of the year they are very similar to DOA's. Maybe those kids should be visiting our site a little more regularly. Don't feel too bad JGlass. There's you, me, Jacob Price and few others to balance out the other DOA writers who tend toward the more accesible end of things.

I give my respects to the man who wrote the little summary for Neon Bible just because he referenced Carnivale.

Is it me or if we switch albums 10-20 (I know that's 11 albums, but I can't leave out RSL or TSN) with 1-10, the list is actually pretty good. As it stands, the list is only adequate.

I'm looking for Russian Militant Black Metal. Semi-good production is a plus, as are clean vocals (if kept to a minimum). Also looking for vocals in Russian. Basically like a Russian version of Absurd...
