They put it on their best 100 albums of the 1980's list, at #30.

I think they fail for putting TV On the Radio's "Staring At the Sun" instead of "Wolf Like Me". I mean come on some things are just obvious, it is a brainless decision.

My God, seconded. And thirded.

That song is probably my choice for best of the decade, let alone best by TVotR.

I disagree and think they got it exactly right. Although I wouldn't have argued with "Wolf Like Me" as another inclusion, if they're just going with one TVOTR song, they got it right.

You guys are all wrong, the TVOTR song they SHOULD have picked is "Blues From Down Here".

I remember back in 2006 when TVOTR played the Austin City Limits, Return to Cookie Mountain had just come out or was about to. It was the first time I heard "Wolf Like Me" and when they got to the part about "open my heart and let it bleed on yours"... man, that was one of the most memorable moments of my life, completely blown away.

Just got my tickets today to see them when they come through town in May. Can't wait!

^ Damn, I ditched them for Pearl Jam Frowner

Don't get me wrong, "Staring at the Sun" is my personal favorite TVOTR song, but compiling a book like that, it's no time to be partial. Objectively, "Wolf Like Me" is the more well-known, influential song by the band.

I don't see how the fact that "Wolf Like Me" got airplay qualifies it better for the list than "Staring at the Sun" (which I also prefer to Wolf Like Me). I don't think P4K generally gives a damn about how popular a song is, and I'm not sure how you can claim that the song is influential. Whom did it influence? And given that it came out in 2006, how do we even know yet?

^Wolf Like Me has influenced me to shake it in a club several times. That's something.

Just realized, and am wondering why they picked "The Chain" (Fleetwood Mac) instead of "Go Your Own Way," one of the greatest break up songs ever - sung by the ex-couple themselves!
