That is kind of harsh! His myspace page is hilarious, so he does have some value left. My Bloody Underground was horrible, as bad as I could have imagined.

Which, of course, begs the age old question of whether you can love the artwork while hating the artist?
I don't really like the habits and mentality of rappers, but I like some rap songs. I don't consume drugs and I don't want to see people buy or sell drugs, but I'm sure that a lot of artists take drugs and I won't stop listening music because of that. I don't really care about the artists personnalities too. Great music is great music.
Becuase all rappers act the same with the same habits...
turenne, idk if it's actually pronounced this way, but i thought you should know that every time i see your username i sing it to the tune of "shirin" by jens lekman. just sayin'

It's kind of like experimental indie folk, in that sense.
Let's be serious now ok? Rap... is... not... music... did you understand that?
I don't understand, or I don't think it's true. Having a hard time deciding which. What is rap then? Horsefeathers, housing, bubblegum?
what is it? Rap is crap.
I barely want to respond to this, but if you are serious your callous dismisal of an entire genre of music is ignorant at best. Perhaps you need to explore the genre. That or keep your opinions to yourself when you're clearly out of your element.
I mean...you aren't serious, right?

Very well said, Sans.
Too often, hip hop gets associated with the garbage that the top forty plays when the fact is that the genre is equally as valid as any other. It's like saying 'rock is crap' simply because you've heard a couple Nickelback songs.
Come visit us in the hip hop forums and see what you're missing IFEL.

interesting fact there. that IS my opinion. aren't i entitled to it??

Sure you are, but just leave it out next time when you obviously don't know what you're talking about and/or can't add anything to the conversation. I don't go around saying "all metal sucks" because I know next to nothing about it. My opinion wouldn't matter to metalheads anyway.
What if someone who listened to hip-hop all of time (and never listened to "indie") came up to you and said all indie sucks? His opinion would mean nothing, right? How the hell would he even know? It's pointless for him to even make that statement.

I agree. Gangsta rap is complete crap with no redeeming value. Luckily, there are dozens of sweet underground rap, glitch-hop, and indie hip-hop releases every year that keep the genre's moral and artistic roots in tact. What kind of experimentdull do you like?

Gangsta Rap usually has some great basslines for your 4 15" Kicker Competion subwoofers. Shakes the pictures off my grandma's walls all the time.
