I also did not care much for Soft Bulletin. Maybe it should go in the SACRILAGE! thread, but I feel the same way about The Flaming Lips as I do The Shins. Both seem to be mediocre generic bands that only release one or two songs per album that can hold my interest.

Pod 1: Source Tags, by a long shot. The Flaming Lips are a good band that makes good music but nothing they've done has really resonated with me.

Pod 2: Eh. Permutation and Supermodified are both far superior albums. But OK Computer is again an album whose craft I can appreciate but does nothing for me personally. So I'll go with the Tobin.

Pod 3: I've actually managed to never hear anything from Bonnie "Prince" Billy, who could very well be amazing but the stage name irritates me. I'm sure I'll check him out some day. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is decent enough but nothing to fawn over.

Pod 4: I've never heard the Walt Mink album but I actively dislike Kid A. So it's a safe bet to say that I'd like El Producto better.

Nothing on here that I've heard indisputably deserves a 10.0 and only Trail of Dead comes close.
