After looking at the Pitchfork Wikipedia page and noticing they had only albums that recieved a 10.0, 9.9, 0.1 and a 0.0, I've always wondered if anyone had compiled a list, or could help me compile a list, of albums that have recieved a 9.0 or higher. I know of quite a few, but have a feeling that the ones I know are only the tip of the iceberg. I'll list a couple of the ones I know of, then if anyone could help add, that would be fantastic.

These aren't in alphabetical order because...well, I'm just way too lazy to put them in alphabetical order. Haha.

Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica - 9.8
Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I - 9.5
Built to Spill - Keep it Like a Secret - 9.3
Built to Spill - Perfect From Now On - 9.2
Tom Waits - Mule Variations - 9.5
Magnetic Fields - 69 Love Songs - 9.0
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada EP - 9.0
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven - 9.0
Blur - 13 - 9.1
Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun - 9.4
Microphones - It Was Hot, We Stayed in the Water - 9.2
Microphones - The Glow Pt. 2 - 9.3
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot it in People - 9.2
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois - 9.2
Wolf Parade - Apologies to the Queen Mary - 9.2

Put 9.5/10 or 9.3/10 etc ... AND Pitchfork into google. That's all, I'm way too lazy to do it instead of you.

Ummm...that didn't do anything.

It gave me one Pitchfork site, and the rest were about albums that didn't get the score.

If you're really curious (I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of this is, but different strokes for different folks) you can type in "9.0 pitchfork" into google. It'll bring up some reviews. Click on "more results from picthforkmedia.com" and you should pretty much get everything that's ever been rated a 9.0. Do the same for 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, etc.

I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.

That works. Thanks.
I ask because it always amazes me what albums they give such high such high scores to that I've never heard of. Like the Buddyrevelles album.

While this is a good list. It's not entirely complete nor accurate. Just skimming over it, Brian Eno's Another Green World received a 9.8. Also, although I can't prove it, I'm almost positive that Iran's s/t album received a 9.5.

American Water got a 9.9. Wow, the first time I've seen any critic give it its proper credit.

Smile should be a 10.

I still enjoy, even after all these years, that Source Tags and Codes got a 10. I really loved that album too, and it was my first bit of, oh, let's say vindication that a band whose album I really loved could be recognized as such by the "big boys", ie P4K. Plus, I'm drunk, and killing time, so all of this is making sense somewhere. So, to summarize.....10s to AYWKUBTTOD and Neutral Milk Hotel = Smiler
