Question:
Now that most of the major E3 announcements have been made, and we're hitting the home-stretch of the current generation of consoles, what is your most anticiapted console release of late 2004?

Halo 2 (Xbox)
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (PS2)
Fable (Xbox)
Gran Turismo 4 (PS2)
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GameCube)

 

OOooooooo Fable... Looks so nice. And I can't imagine that the next Metroid Prime will be much better than the first. And how much more can GTA: San Andreas really do to the formula? The next Gran Turismo..yeah, yeah. And the winner will be: HALO FREAKIN' 2! I will serve no wine before it's time, baby. They've been preparing this sucker for a LONG time, and I'm good 'n ready for it.

San Andreas...I have faith that Rockstar will find ways to be innovative.

Alot of people have really been wetting their pants over Halo 2. And with good reason. Im really keeping an eye out for Fable because that could really go either way whereas Halo 2 is pretty certain to be very high quality.

Personally, I'm excited about Paper Mario 2.

Where's Metal Gear Solid 3? I mean, I'm voting for Halo 2, but only because MGS3 isn't there. I'm very interested in not just the story, but the survival theme as well. I haven't seen the E3 2004 trailers, but only so that I don't spoil the game for myself.

(On a side note, I'm glad a Metacritic forum has finally started up.)

Yeah, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater needs to be on that list, but I have a feeling that these stupid polls don't let you go beyond 5. Should it have made the top 5?? Sure. Then again, it was number 1 last year at this time. I gettin' tired of waiting for the damned thing.

I voted for MP2, but if MGS3 was on the list I would've voted for that one instead.

I'm a Halo fanatic and I don't even own an Xbox. My friends and I need a new fix. Before Halo it was Goldeneye or Perfect Dark on my dusty N64. Naturally you can imagine how much we're looking forward to the sequel.

Well considering the list I d say Fable if Perter s ego doesn't get too much in the way

As for all the other games, well, I'm looking forward to those too. Can I vote for them all?

San Andreas will PROBABLY top this list in net sales, but Halo 2 will be my favorite hands down. Played Fable at E3 and it looks strong...hard to tell much about it in such a short time. GTA 4 is GTA 4--hopefully tons more cars.

This is gonna be a tie between San Andreas and GTA4.
Strangely, I'm also attracked to the forthcoming "Rocky Legends" game

Metal gear solid 3 is god it should be up there!

GT4 Will be the best by a mile on PS2. Second has to GTA:SA, but i think it will be better on PC. Any XBox game is not worthy on this list. PS2 all the way.

Why is PS2 so superior to Xbox. I mean, it has good games, but the Xbox has better graphics and better online play and better exclusives and a better official magazine and a hard drive....I mean, the list goes on!

I went with Halo 2 just because it's already an established franchise. Hell, all they have to do is rework the story of the first one and they'll have a winner, but this has new everything! It's going to be awesome and I can already see the LAN parties at my place with this playing Assault and Capture the Flag.

I wanted to vote for Fable because of it's potential, but like I said, Halo is already established. I can't wait for both. At least Fable is coming out first.

Though I do not own a PS2 I think Im going to go with the new GTA.AFter reading Albert's tghread on the subject it looks absolutely amazing-----and really deep!
