I didn't grow up with a tv, so my video game experience mostly consisted of watching my more advanced friends play. I did however, beat Rygar numerous times. I love the music on that game.

20 games that I particularly love, in no particular order:
1. Metroid Prime. 2. Resident Evil remake and RE4 (though the latter's violence is disturbing, the sheer quality of the production/graphics and level progression is superb). 3. The Legend of Zelda- The Wind Waker. 4. Curse of Monkey Island. 5. Lemmings. 6. Cannon Fodder. 7. Superfrog. 8. Pinball Dreams/Pinball Fantasies/Pinball Illusions. 9. 1080 Avalanche. 10. Paper mario: The Thousand Year Door. 11. Outrun 2. 12. Alone in the dark: the new nightmare. 13. Quake 3. 14. Crash Team Racing (PS1) 15. Creatures (on the Commodore 64, with Clive Radcliffe who had to rescue animals, including from the 'torture chambers'- I bet not many people remember this game). 16. Conker's Bad Fur Day. 17. Beyond good and evil. 18. Jet Set Radio Future. 19. Rick Dangerous 2. 20. Donkey Kong Country.
There are also quite a few Megadrive platform games I love, particularly the Disney one. Super Mario World is a good game with great design but I have enjoyed other games even more.
Chrono Trigger (Super Nintendo/PlayStation 1) Super Mario Bros. 3 (Nintendo) Final Fantasy 3 (Nintendo) Street Fighter 2 (Nintendo) X-Men: Children Of The Atom (the arcade fighting game) Sim Ant Sim City Starcraft Grand Theft Auto Series Gran Turismo Series Soul Calibur Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance I (PlayStation 2) Champions of Norrath (PlayStation 2)
Im bad I actually lost my place and put a half completed post up further but this is where it should belong so I apologise for that post.
Best games
Atari 2600 - Hero
Hand held - Donkey Kong (every kid had to have one)
Colecovision - Turbo
Sega PC (yes there was a Sega PC) - Congo Bongo
Commodore 64 - Legacy of the Ancients (fave RPG ever never wanted it to end) - Elite (this should be remade...please please) - Pirates - The Bards Tale 1,2 & 3 (hardest dungeons ever designed every square was used 25 x 25 sized dungeons, you couldnt wander aimlessly you had to buy graph paper and map the damn things) - Ikari Warriors - International Karate + - Bubble Bobble
Coin Op - Star Wars - Gauntlet (i ruled the local arcade on this game most days playing 12+ hours on one coin. Best result was I reached level 483 with 11,000 health but killed it off cos' it was 11:30pm way past my curfew. I heard there was only 512 levels in all? Anybody know this for cert?) - Dragons Lair 3D - Wonder Boy (the most hotly contested game at our pinny parlour. I trailblazed this game for a few months but eventually got pulled in by the people I taught how to play and ended up about 3rd on the list) - Karate Champ (i used to have a key to this game and racked up creds for mates party vs. action. naughty naughty) - Rastan Saga - Rygar
Commodore Amiga - Stunt Car Racer - Speedball
Nintendo - Super Mario Brothers - Mike Tysons Super Punch Out
SNES - Uni Rally (played over 12,000 games of this great addictive game. Our whole house and any visitors were addicted. Best party game ever) - Street Fighter - Top Gear (best arcade driving game gameplay wise, you could go so fast and stay on track by knowing the course and of course avoiding traffic. By saving ya boosts for the right time it allowed you to catch up, or to be caught. Best 2 player vs. fun to be had in a car game)
PlayStation 1 - Tomb Raider 2 (say no more) - Resident Evil (made my jaw drop and poop my duds) - Tekken 3 - Soul Calibur 3 - Final Fantasy VII (at the time there was nothing like it)
PC - Balders Gate II (Shadows of Amn)
Xbox (in order of best) - GTA San Andreas - Half Life 2 - Halo - KOTOR - Ninja Gaiden - Splinter Cell 1,2,3 - Galleon - Prince of Persia - Sands of Time - Beyond Good & Evil - Dai Senrakyu VII - Fight Night Round 2 - Oddworld Strangers Wrath - Soul Calibur II
Game that had the biggest effect all time out of those listed above: Legacy of the Ancients closely followed by Resident Evil. Game spent most time playing Uni Rally just ahead of Gauntlet and The Bards Tale.
FF7 (my fave. "Oh but Lordsmoogsbottom, there are so many superior games like Timecross or the Jades of Elmundor series." (slap) "I dont want to hear it, keep smoking your crack pipe, hippy.")
Halo Halo 2 Fable Kingdom Hearts Frequency Amplitude Diablo II Zelda: Ocarina of Time Zelda: Majora's Mask Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie Prince of Persia 1 K.O.T.O.R. Conker's Bad Fur Day Super Smash Bros.
