What was yours!! At one point in time in the old school days, I loved Double Dragon. Everyone would crowd around the machine, and have a blast kicking ass. Those arcade days seemed to have passed.... in any event, my 2nd fav was SF2.

What were yours?

For me, it would be Street Fighter II, Trojan, and Golden Axe. Close but not quite would be Smash TV, Double Dragon, and Tron.

My favorite was the original Simpson’s Arcade game. I can’t remember what the exact title was, but it was a side scrolling double dragon styled game and you could choose Homer, Marge, Bart or Lisa, and they were all super hero versions of them selves. I remember that Bart was Bart Man, and used his skateboard as his weapon, and I think the object of the game was to save Maggie. I’d love to find a freeware version of it online, but I’ve never been able to.

Street Fighter II was always awesome, but I could never master the controls on the arcade machine, though I still always loved it, but couldn’t really enjoy it because I’d always get my ass handed to me, that is, until it came to the SNES! When I could finally unleash the true Street Fighter within! B)

Some other awesome games that come to mind were: Fatal Fury, Final Fight, and Daytona USA. I also remember the Golden Axe. Big Grin

If you loved Street Fighter, you should check out Street Fighter: The Later Years. If you haven’t seen it already, it’s a 9 part comedy series about all the original Street Fighter II characters dealing with life as has-beens. Zangief and Dhalsim join forces to start another tournament so they can quit working crappy jobs.

When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all...

Imagine everything I say as if it were spoken to you with the voice of Joe Pesci.

Vote Jamshed.

Yep. I was going to say the Simpsons Arcade Game. I'd say it's more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles than Double Dragon, it pretty much has the same engine? What's the word I'm looking for? It plays almost exactly the same as the TMNT Arcade.
A very good time indeed. I'd sell my soul (a la Bart Simpson) to have it on Wii's Virtual Console.

What arcade games? You meant the old-school ones(eg. Super Mario Bros, Pac-Man) or the arcade games right now? (eg. Mario Kart Arcade Gp 2, Mushiking)
