There are certain games which were rated very high, and that everyone seems to love, yet I can't get myself to get into them..

Mine are:

Bioshock - Has great graphics, atmosphere, sound, but i just lost interest because it seemed to repetitive.. same old ememies time and time again.

Gears of War - Same kinda situation.. not that its a bad game, but I didn't stick around with it for too long.

What are your pics?

You didn't like Bioshock? I thought it was like an interactive movie. I thought it was brilliant. On another note though, I didn't care much for

Resident Evil 4- I don't get it. WHY DO PEOPLE ENJOY THIS GAME!?

MGS2- It has a 96 average, yet mgs3, 1, and possibly 4, were all bigger and better than it, yet they have lower scores. -_- Raiden ruined this one.

Halo 3- Part 2 with pretty graphics. I'm not being Bias because I LOVED part 2.

That's it for me. I know gta4 is going to show up somewhere on someone's list, they exclaiming rockstar paid the reviewers. Well, if that's the case, they need to swing by and pay me, because I thought it was bloody brilliant, and the most surreal experience I've ever had. You know a game is badass when you bump in the someone on the side of the street, and want to APOLOGIZE. That's real man.

I would say MGS2 and 3. Also, I have a hard time getting into most FPS's.

A better question: How can you NOT enjoy RE4?

I feel the same way about those games. However, Resident Evil 4 rocks.

The majority of first-person shooters fall into this.

Halo games have all been pretty poor, let alone Halo knockoffs like Gears.

The final fantasy series, and JRPGs in general, are very popular but extremely homogenous and mediocre.

Killer7.....someone forgots to tell someones that gameplay comes first! :O

Resident Evil: UC - see above.

Super Paper Mario - yawn...huh? what did that last paragraph say? I dozed off reading so much.

Any American football game, because of me though - I just plain suck at them no matter how bad I want to play them - sucks the f-u-n right out of them for me, hence why only NFL2K3 is the only title in my collection, damn sweet presentation though.

All the Halo games are overrated. There are maybe 4 or 5 levels in the entire series that are fun to play on campaign, and the multi-player is so painfully unrealistic that i find it impossible to play without throwing my controller at the television.

I think Guitar Hero 3 is also overrated. The graphics are awful, there are no customizable options, and the track list is terrible. I would play Rock Band for 34234 years before i picked up Guitar Hero 3.

GTA series as a whole, I'd say. I can understand how they're fun, in a kind of mindless way. But all these game critics calling the series artistic? Give me a break...

Halo 3, great online play, but the Campaign mode didn't cut it for me

Halo 2 and 3 are both very overrated, and when you think about they are both pretty unoriginal first person shooters, all you do is run and gun.

you can add GTA to my list too. After ten minutes you begin to realize that all of the missions are the same.

I just don't get this criticism at all. Maybe with San Andreas this is true to an extent with the main missions (too many turf wars), but if you include the side missions, the variety is staggering.

The whole Diablo series for me, it was good for about a week. Too much mouse clicking and less reliant on skill imo. I also didn't do the pvp so I may have a biased opinion but, already turned off by the series so not really wanting to try pvping on it.

I'ma throw down the Gran Turismo games. Sure they're 'extremely realistic' and plenty of fun on beginner mode, but after that (and even a little bit while in the beginner) it's more like a simulator than a game. The graphics rock and the realism is almost unparalleled, but if it's more like a job than a game, what's the use of putting it on a gaming console?

And this is more of a genre than an actual game, but computer FPSs are totally overrated graphically. I mean you have these games where every wall in a war-torn office building or a nasty underground mining facility is perfectly straight and hard-edged. You have space stations that have been in orbit for hundreds of years and look cleaner than Donald Trumph's Rolls Royce, but these games seem to get constant amazing reviews on their graphics. Take a look at the environments in Gears of War. What do you see? Something that looks like it would in real life. This is just something that has always bugged me.

Onimusha 2. Period. Not super popular, but it also came out with a higher rating than a 4, so I have to say it was overrated. And I didn't like it.

Oblivion, it's a good game, but it just doesn't live up to Morrowind.
