Lately, I've been thinking of trying out and maybe signing up to Eve Online. However, I would like some info first.
Basically, in order to really play the game and get in on the social version of the X-series (which I like, btw, no offense/insult tended if you don't like it) how many hours a week/day would really be necessary? My fleshy shell has a few commitments that I can't easily shake off.

Ok, I don't really talk like that, but I had you going, no?

one of the coolest things about eve is how you train skills over time and how skills cap.
the meat of the game is all in PvP. which roaming gangs can last for 2-3 hours on a good day.
you won't make money in fleet very offen however, so you'll want to run around blowing up NPC running missions.
I personally have college so I only play about 10-12 hours a week, but thanks to training oiver time I have figure out how many hours of work I need to put in to supprt my skills and ships.
thus I have the isk I need to have fun and blow up some evil pirates that want the great wildlands.
but foundation will win, someday.
then there are the forums on the eve siute which are great during school and work :P
I'm a game player.I aways play video games, i think video games can relieve myself from stress. But i used to be in trouble with buying game currency.Occasionally, i loged on www.upgold.net, it is a website for selling game currency and powerleveling. Then I bought gold from it, just trying. Suprisingly, I found www.upgold.net a good website to buy game currency. its delivery speed is very fast and its gold price is reasonable. Additionally, its customer service is excellent.
SO if you want to buy game currency or powerlevel, log on www.upgold.net.
I tried it before, and I quit... it has a very steep learning curve, and an annoying level system, you gain levels by just telling your character to do it, and in like 5 hours you will get that level (you can log off and still get that), but the problem with that is... you will never be better than somebody who started one year ago, never...
the ship is fairly difficult to get used to flying in pvp and pvp (or what I experienced so far) , is sitting around waiting near gates...
I wouldn't do it, but i suggest you try it out, because you might be one of those who like it
