I don't mean to be an ass, but 95% of what you are asking exists elsewhere in the forums, take a look.

1.) Computer/Console Games
2.) Seven Samurai, Leon, The Matrix
3.) Quest For Glory I, Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Metal Gear Solid
4.) None that directly relate to a specific film. The only film-based property that I’ve indulged in is the Star Wars universe (oh, and Dune)… X-Wing, Tie-Fighter, Rogue Squadron, Knights of the Old Republic (and Dune II). I actually avoid games based off of specific movies.
5.) Doom, Wing Commander, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Silent Hill …those are the only ones that I’ve played that later became movies though there are a lot more that I’ve never played.
6.) Film influences videogames more… for obvious reasons. ;-)

Be sure to share your essay with us. When is it due, Sydlaw?
