You've hit the nail on the head there but i'd go one further then that and say to find the really awful games you have to go right back into the mists of time. For example - "Rick Dangerous 2" on the Commadore64 and "V" on Amstrad CPC. Trust me, they don't make games this bad anymore. Is it any wonder my generation has the highest suicide rate?

Oh, and the guy who said Ecco - What are you on? Ecco is one of the best games of of the 16 Bit era.

Zelda was the suckiest game ever i hate that game and it had bad graphics.
