First of all votes should be only accepted from registered members to make it more easy to minimize abuse.

Secondly it should be possible for people to vote without giving a review, since that way there would be more votes (as people can just give the grade without bothering to write a review) and therefore the average would be more closer to the actual average opinion. In addition there would be less not so necessary "Bought it and returned it the same day because it sucked" and "BEST GAME EVER" reviews.


These would be the most important improvements, in my opinion, but also a weighted average system based on the voter's voting history could be considered, like the one in imdb rating system.


This would of course cause a bit of work for the transitional phase but I think it would be a rewarding change.
