I'm not a forum moderator, nor do I pretend to be, so I can't enforce any rules. But for the sake of others' who don't care that you "need HUGE help on Horsez!!!!1" or "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is kicking my @$$!!", please use the Gameplay help section to post your questions. I can't be the only one who finds it annoying to see a bunch of different threads asking for help in the various console forums.
There's a designated section for it and it's clearly labeled. Please make great use of it. Thank you.
Or, if you want immediate help on your game, go to GameFaqs.com, where they have a game guide for practically every game ever made. That way, you won't have to wait for some kind person to respond to you (and believe me, it can take awhile).

Sorry. I don't think many (any?) of the mods are big gamers and we don't really read the games section all that much. Honestly, I don't have any idea what half the people are talking about since the last game system I owned was an 8-Bit Nintendo.
I try to delete stuff that's obviously spam when I see it, and if somebody's acting inappropriate, I'll do something, but as for trying to organize things the way we do in music and movies, I don't do it, because I don't know a lot about the subject.
If you, as a reader of the games forum see something that should be moved or deleted or whatever, seriously feel free to PM FragileKidA, RavingLunatic, crazed, or myself and we'll use our superpowers to fix it. We're usually nice people and we don't normally bite.
There's also a little "exclaimation point in a triangle icon" next to the quote icon that you can use to report posts and give a reason, such as "this is spam", "this guy is being a jackass" or "this idiot posted a gaming question in the TV forum". I think it gets sent to all the mods.
----- Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste.

I will take you up on this in the future, and I appreciate your assistance. I e-mailed the Metacritic Games Editor and he basically said (in a polite way) that it was too much of a hassle to seperate all of the "useless" threads. Which I found odd, but it's his call so whatever. Still, 11 different threads for help on the same damn Pokemon game??? Not called for.

Wow... No forum moderators that are gamers? Granted, it is a time consuming hobby, and can get rather expensive... Anyhow, I think you just opened the door for a flood of e-Resumes, EricG75! Okay, so there are definitely some better forums on dedicated game sites (i.e. more responses, variety of topics, etc.), but Metacritic is a giant source for a lot of gamers to get the summed-up low-down on the titles they are anticipating! To think that this community is not getting a fair share of attention boggles me marbles! Is there a way for Metacritic to track the web-hits on "Games" in general, as compared to "Movies" or "Television"? I would be surprised if it didn't stack up quite equally... It is one the largest revenue-generating forms of entertainment in the industry right now. Just sayin'.
What are the best websites with message boards for general video game discussions? I prefer to stay away from boards with lots of flame wars, and I prefer more cerebral game genres like strategy and RPGs. I'm also very interested in abandonware- for some reason I can't get registered at home of the underdogs, and I lost my password ;( Thanks!
Generally, I find the best video game discussions in the site related to the console. Like gamefaqs.com, gba-temp.net, etc. especially when I'm stuck in a game and need a walkthrough or cheat :P.

The Metacritic community is a generous one, but you're asking a lot if you expect a walkthrough for every video game ever released; pray narrow it down a little. Was it for the Commodore 64?
