The first video game I ever owned was Pong on the Atari. I got it when Atari and Pong were first released. I think I just dated myself...
The first I ever played was tic tac toe...computers were new and arcade games hadn't been invented yet...x's and o's were awesome computer graphics and the internet didn't exist.

Without Fantasy there is only Reality....and what is the fun in that.

My first was a C64 as well and I had labyrinth, California Games, Law of the West. Then I got the dos based games of the Space quest and Kings quest and for some reason I was playing the Leisure Suit Larry games as a child.

The first game I ever owned was the pack-in for the Atari 2600 (the one with pvp with tanks and planes). I don't remember the name of it. The first game I ever played was probably Space Invaders or Asteroids in an arcade.

Super Mario Bros and Donkey Kong on the NES.

Although Donkey Kong is an awesome AND classic game, my mother brought it home for me as a substitute for an out of stock Super Mario 3, which at the time was the bee's knees.

Some of you might understand why I was disappointed; it was my defining “Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge” moment in gaming.

Now may we never speak of it again…

I hope that is irony Smiler. Duck Hunt. Almost everyone old enough to have owned a Nintendo played that game, but does anyone remember that track and field game (i think the second one) with the pad - the original DDR.
