First game I ever owned was for the Vectrex games system, probably around 1982. I got the system, which had a built in asteroids clone, and bought a game called Spike for it. It was pretty poor, but I seem to remember it featured the first speech in any game ever. Ah the good old days!

If I could even remember so far back!
It played like Pong, it looked like Pong, but I am pretty sure it wasn't Pong - it was probably one of them Taiwan knock-offs. That was circa 1977.
30 years back! Boy, do I feel old all of a sudden...

Hmmm. The very first game, too young to remember, but the first game to get my undivided attention, Super Mario Bros.! I would beg my mom to go to Wal-Mart just so I could play their Nintendo! That game rocked! An entire day at school became unbearable once my mom finally bought me one! I was one of the last kids to get a Nintendo & now, I finally knew what everyone was talking about when they spoke of Warp Zones & saving the Princess ! "I can't live the buttoned down life like all of you! I want it all: the terrifying lows, the dizzying highs, the creamy middles! Sure, I might offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky odor - oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about what's to be done with this Monkey_Boy?!"

Golden Axe for the Sega Genesis. I remember playing with my older brother and him always stealing the potions that gave you the special powers. I still loved the game though, I heard they are re-making a completely new one for the next-gen consoles!

Jules: Normally, both your asses would be dead as fucking fried chicken, but you happen to pull this shit while I'm in a transitional period so I don't wanna kill you, I wanna help you. But I can't give you this case, it don't belong to me. Besides, I've already been through too much shit this morning over this case to hand it over to your dumb ass.

The first game I ever owned besides a handheld was Astrosmash on Intellivision. Almost broke a million on that game too. Dad turned it off to watch Hill Street Blues when I had 625k and 150 free guys (yes 150 free guys).
The first game I ever played was Tic-Tac-Toe on a Mainframe.

Well... Super Mario Bros. on an NES clone, called Terminator 2, in the late 90's (meaning '98 or '99)... I live in an ex-communist country (Romania), so yeah... -__- We only had PC gamers around here, playing pirated games ONLY back then... -__-
My first original game (meaning bought, not downloaded illegaly off the internet) was Hugo 2 on my PS one (played in 2001, i think)... just a crappy game...
Fist game on a Nintendo system was Fantastic 4 on my GBA SP... another crappy game
First Nintendo published game was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on my DS... not that bad...
First TRUE Nintendo game: New Super Mario Bros. on DS!
Now I got lots of cool games tho... like Pokemon D&P, TLoZ: PH, SM64, Star Fox 64, F-Zero X, DKC etc.
So yeah... be glad you weren't born here!

Quest of the Rings on Odyssey. That game was fun as hell. It wasn't my game, actually, but when I traded my Atari for my buddy's Odyssey, that's all that I played. The first game I owned, of course, was Combat on the 2600.
