Somebody else must have seen this classic. It has to qualify as the shortest classic ever made, and it has to be 100X better than, say, "Alien vs. Predator." This thing was made in 1969, but I saw it first in 1970. I really have nothing else to say. This has to qualify as one of the most entertaining films ever made. It's so short, yet it provides so much pleasure. Come on, somebody give it up for "Bambi Meets Godzilla"!

Yeah ... I remember first seeing this when I was very young. My dad told me we were going to watch Bambi and then put this on.

And yeah ... that sounds really bad, but actually I was old enough to think it was hilarious and in fact watching it was much less traumatic for me than watching the original Bambi film had been. I've only seen that once, because it made me too sad and combined with an unfortunate deer experience that probably scarred me for life, I haven't ever watched it again.

But I can watch Bambi vs. Godzilla over and over with much laughter and no ill effects. I love they make the cutteness of the deer so over the top ...

I remember seeing that at Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festival in it's first year I think. I wasn't in a very sober state though, so I can't be sure! Perfectly poignant film about the meaning of life!

Yes, I too saw this on the Spike and Mike's sick and twisted DVD about a year ago. It was so perfectly short and too the point. Did you know there was a second one? It was called Son of Bambi meets Godzilla. It was 3D done with CG and I dont want to give it away. You can watch it here. Not as good as number one but still pretty funny:

I'm surprised nobody thought of You Tube, but here it is:

I guess I thought it was mildly amusing (I chuckled), but I can imagine that in the era when Bambi was released, it would have been shockingly hilarious.
