Yeah ... I remember first seeing this when I was very young. My dad told me we were going to watch Bambi and then put this on.
And yeah ... that sounds really bad, but actually I was old enough to think it was hilarious and in fact watching it was much less traumatic for me than watching the original Bambi film had been. I've only seen that once, because it made me too sad and combined with an unfortunate deer experience that probably scarred me for life, I haven't ever watched it again.
But I can watch Bambi vs. Godzilla over and over with much laughter and no ill effects. I love they make the cutteness of the deer so over the top ...

I remember seeing that at Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festival in it's first year I think. I wasn't in a very sober state though, so I can't be sure! Perfectly poignant film about the meaning of life!

I'm surprised nobody thought of You Tube, but here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAVYYe87b9wI guess I thought it was mildly amusing (I chuckled), but I can imagine that in the era when Bambi was released, it would have been shockingly hilarious.
