This is a very well made, somber look at growing up and growing apart. The animation is done very well here, and the characters don't have that glossy or bubbly animation that so many tend to use nowadays in Japanimation. The creator of this is Makoto Shinkai, who you might have heard about from another, more celebrated short film, She and Her Cat.
