Definately Ninja Scroll for me. It has to be the subtitled version though, as the english dubbing is done very poorly, with little emotion.

yeah, ninja scroll is the shit, a lot more self-contained and cohesive than AKIRA. but Akira is better if you've read the comic books, which I highly recommend. man, that scene with the giant in the forest in ninja scroll is unforgettable

Ninja Scroll is awesome, but I think I reacted best to Princess Mononoke, although I still haven't seen akira because I'm an idiot. I will get on that.
Well, if we're not going to have a poll, I vote for "Spirited Away." I've also seen "Princess Mononoke" and "Akira", but none of the others. I guess that means I better find "Ninja Scroll" ASAP. The first time I saw "Akira", it blew my mind, but the second time, I found some plot problems.

Mark, there are tons of plot problems in Akira because the director / author insisted on keeping as much storyline as possible - if you read the six comic books (each between 200-300 pages) everything makes sense. Clearly he could not fit 2000 + pages of material in 2 hours (granted there are a lot of pictures). go find them at the library, they are better than DVDs and best if read in a week.

I feel that Spirited Away is the BEST movie on the list, but I don't consider it action whatsoever. Ninja Scroll definately takes it for action! I also quite like the Devil Man series, as well as the Guyver series and the depraved and filthy, Legend of the Overfiend series, which is definately not for the youngsters here! Hilarious tentacle hentai designed to offend the Japanese censors!

Hey S, is that the same thing as "Wandering Kid"? My bro had all those and I watched them all years ago and thought they were entertaining but way over the top! It must be the same unless the anime makers started ripping it off. My bro says that he has to keep all those locked away so his little girl won't know what a sick puppy he is.

That is it! I think that Wandering Kid is the literal translation of the Japanese title-Urotsukidoji. You are right-totally over the top!

The only Anime movies I've seen are Mononoke and Spirited away (and Animatrix).
However, the coolest anime I've seen so far is the one scene in Kill Bill. It's absolutely nuts.
Are all action anime movies that cool, or was the scene in Kill Bill exceptional? And if there are Animes with awesome action sequences like that, then please enlighten me. That sh*t was so cool.
