Oh well, please discuss your favorite 1. cartoon features (Disney, computer, anime, etc.) ,2. shorts (Looney Tunes, Disney, etc.) or 3. TV ( Simpsons, Futurama, Flintstones, South Park, something hipper, etc.) My faves are 1. Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo, Fantasia, Bambi, Toy Story 1&2, A Bug's life, Iron Giant, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid (best musical score), Finding Nemo, Spirited Away, LaPuta, Akira and KiKi's Delivery Service; 2. Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century, What's Opera, Duck? and Duck Amuck; 3. Almost every Simpsons ( for me, it's tied as the best TV show ever, with All in the Family), Several Futurama, The Critic and some South Park, although I think Bigger, Longer and Uncut is better than the show. Enjoy. Later, gators

No categories for me: Triplets of Belleville, Spirited Away, Alice in Wonderland, Ninja Scroll, Simpsons(season 3 to present), Southpark(season 3 to present), the Tick, Record of Lodoss War, Duckman, The Last Unicorn, Fantasia, The Flight of Dragons(strictly cheesy nostalgia), The Devil Went Down to Georgia, Fire and Ice, Watership Down, The Plague Dogs and Snow White!

I can't believe that I forgot Pinocchio and Allegro non Troppo. The latter is a 1976 Italian spoof of Fantasia. There's wow animation all set to classical music but that's only half of the film. The rest is live-action in black and white. It involves the slave animator who works for a fascist orchestra conductor. This old-lady orchestra "plays" the music to the animator's drawings. This non-animation part is a cross between Fellini, Monty Python and a Roadrunner cartoon. I highly recommend it.

Somehow, I left off "Somethin's Cooking" from the beginning of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", the greatest Looney Tune that Warner Brothers never produced.

The entirety of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". As well as anything by Dan Hertzfeldt (Rejected, Billy's Balloon, etc.) and the show "Rockos Modern Life".

spirited away ; outstandingly idiosyncratic,
finiding nemo and lion king....but unlike most people I didnt find 'Shrek' good at all, instead I preferred the second one which had a firmer grasp of its storyline....haha, guess I'm the odd one out!

No Newbie085, you're not the odd one out, I too prefered the Second Shrek.
But not because of its storyline, I thought the script and the story were at times quite average.
Shrek 2 is funnier than its predecessor and has more interesting characters: The Puss-in-Boots (soooo funny), Prince Charming, Fiona's parents, Pinnochio!!!

Sorry, I forgot to mention an animated short called 'Rejected' by Don Hertzfeldt. It is a ten minute cartoon featuring a number of rejected advertisements for The Family Learning Channel. It is pretty silly for the first 5 minutes, but then it gets really creative. I don't know if it is available on the net anymore, but if you find it, enjoy!

My favourite feature film was Triplettes of Belleville. One of the wierdest movies I ahev ever had the pleasure of watching. The cartooning is excellent, very different and abstract ('abstract' may not be the best word to use for this type of cartooning, but I hope you know what I mean. Does anybody know what this type of animation is called. Maybe cariacture?) I really liked the music, which is really weird, because I usually like nothing but metal and punk.

South Park is and always will be my favourite animated TV show, and probably favourite TV show in general. Cartman is the funniest character on TV. The sad part is that many people, mostly adults, just look at it as a lot of profanity and gross humour. While the show does incorporate these, it is still a clever, witty, and often satirical cartoon. (By the way, is everybody stoked for the Matt Stone and Trey Parker's Team America movie?)

"I'm not fat, I'm festively plump!"-Eric Cartman

I like "Who framed Roger Rabbit". I loved Angry Beavers on Nickeloden, I've watched Looney Toons for the longest time. I'm starting to watch Tom and Jerry and that's a good show, I like how they use sound effects and that stuff. I want to buy Alice in Wonderland cause that movie is just crazy. I liked Spirited Away, I loved the part when the Prince guy puts that frog in that bubble when they're crossing the bridge. I like Simpsons, Family Guy, The Critic, Futurama, Cowboy Bebop, Intial D, and the new Naruto. I also liked Toy Story 1 & 2, Jungle Book, Evangelion, Two stupid dogs was kinda funny, Lion King, FLCL (one of my favorites) and that's most of them.
