Yes, quite possibly the best anime series I have ever seen. I watched the entire series in one sitting (roughly 6 hours). It's about a boy named Shu who is transported into another world upon a ship know as Hellywood. Him and other captive children are forced to fight a war under the evil emperor King Hamdo. Sad, depressing and disturbing could describe this series. Highly Recommended.
Yeah, it's pretty good, but really I didn't find it to be consistently of good quality. I still remember the beautiful scene where that blond girl runs away and and cuts her hair under the moon. But overall it was somewhat dissapointing. The storyline was really linear and narrow. The ending seemed flat, unresolving and rushed. The main character seemed to me really unrealistic and somewhat annoying. And the plot and the characters were, lets face it, far from original. The only thing really setting it apart is its lack of anime-glitter and a few shockers now and then like the Hamdo (flat character btw) killing the cat. Don't remember the sound so I guess it wasn't amazing.
