Whoa... definite Nickelodeon reunion. Those were all of my favorite shows, but I haven't thought about them in a good 10 years!

I was just telling a friend about Hey Dude (and how it has Ben Stiller's wife, Christine Taylor), and she had no idea what the heck I was talking about. Glad to see there is someone else out there who was obsessed with these shows as a kid.

Nowadays, I of course watch South Park, the funniest and smartest show on television. I also watch Family Guy, Futurama, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Spongebob Squarepants, and the Powerpuff Girls. I don't like anime as a rule, but I secretly like Cowboy Bebop.

My favorite episode of any cartoon ever would either be the South Park episode "Not Without My Anus" or the Powerpuff Girls episode "The Powerpuff Girls Best Rainy Day Adventure Ever".

I actually don't have cable right now. I can afford it, but I've been lazy about calling to have it turned on. I figure since I'm not spending money on cable, I should spend that money on DVDs of shows I like. I have all three seasons of Strangers With Candy and and the first two seasons of Mr Show. If I get all the episodes of all the shows I like, I won't need cable at all.

EDIT: When I was a kid, I'd watch Bobby's World, Tiny Toons, Eek the Cat, Animaniacs, Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Doug. Hell, a lot of the Nick shows you've all listed I've watched.

Remember on Clarissa how she had that friend Sam that would always come in through the window and they had that surfy sound whenever he showed up, and she had her annoying brother Ferguson? I remember she and Sam were big fans of Pearl Jam. (Sigh) The early-to-mid-90s were a funny time.

Ren and Stimpy was a fucking surreal show. Kids shouldn't have been allowed to watch it. It wasn't dirty, but it was twisted. That show probably did a big part in fucking me up good.

For everybody who loves great animation I wholeheartedly recommend "Creature comforts". It's done by those wacky guys at Aardman, and is a series of claymation scetchs with amimals taking the place of people using actual interview footage. Better than clever, if this thing don't getcha laughin', you better check with your family doctor. You might well be dead, and just not aware of it.

I can't believe I haven't seen this thread before. I'll post again, but my favrorite after school cartoon would have to be Duck Tales.

My favorite tv cartoon show from yesteryear was Top Cat. Followed by the Jetsons and the Milton The Monster Show. I'd like to pick up one of these series on dvd but haven't yet. The Looney Tunes dvd sets look nice as well, and I do like Wile E. Coyote.

I vote for the Pete Puma cartoon from Warner Brothers as the best cartoon short ("Rabbit's Kin").
Can anyone help me identify the cartoon by Warner Brother's that has Bugs Buggy saying, at one point in the cartoon, "Hasty Bananas?"
Thanks!
