Question:
I have been debating for a while which is my favorite animated film, and thus the best animated film in existence. There are great things about each and I won't vote until there are at least, a couple votes, you decide.

Choices:
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles

I know there are many "Incredibles" fans here on the boards so this may rustle a few feathers. "The Incredibles" was really good and by far the best animated feature film this past year. I've said this before and I'll say it again. The ending sucked. Sucked compared to the rest of the movie, that is. It did away with the satire and focused on the action which was done well, but it wasnt anything completely groundbreaking either. I thought the animation was spectacular and the art direction and character design absolutely delectible, but I thought the dreamy waterscapes of "Nemo" to be the better of the two. My opinion of "The Incredibles" does not stray far from what David Ansen of "Newskweek" thought of the film

"'The Incredibles' is a funny and, at times, ingenious movie—it will certainly make hundreds of millions and arm-wrestle
'Shrek 2' for best animated picture. But in the event this point gets ignored in the ticker-tape parade to come, it must be said that there's something disappointing about the fact that one of the most inventive filmmaking teams on earth has finally made a movie about humans—and the humans are carrying guns."

"Finding Nemo" excited me. I left the theatre touched yet invigorated knowing that I saw what will come to be an animated classic. "The Incredibles" left me extremely satisfied, but it was like I had seen "just another movie" and not something immortal...

Well, that was my two cents...

I have no feathers to rustle, or ruffle, for that matter. "The Incredibles", with no further need to discuss why (although I will say that I don't remember any of 'The Incredibles' using any guns.)

Finding Nemo does it for me.

Dont think I didnt LOVE the Incredibles but Finding Nemo was, well, just more meaningful. I dont know, it came out earlier, so it somewhat set a tone and I just think it was more impacting on animation.

I would have to say I enjoyed the Incredibles movie but I did not think it to be a better movie, at least for the time.

I'm not trying to change people's minds, but "The Incredibles" is more profound concerning family TOO.

This is a very hard decision. Both are great movies and make the 16th and 17th spots on my list of favorite movies. Both movies are serious and very dramatic but also hilarious at points. However, I had to place "The Incredibles" a little in front of "Finding Nemo" because of how awesomely realistic it was. I'm talking about the animation as well as the dialogue and everything else. It was also more thrilling and exciting then the calmer, lighter "Finding Nemo", not always a good thing but in this case it was.

The Incredibles are easier to bond with because they feel like your average family, but give Disney credit, they do have that ability to make us grow fond of just about any animals on the face of the earth. Not just fond of, but we actually don't see them as animals, but flamboyant colorful personalities. Its really cool and all, but The Incredibles is better, bringing a more action packed family experience that doesn't make you feel like a little kid every time you watch it.
