I think the the Gamecube is the best console ever! Don't know why at all! Not good enough graphics well just wait for the REVOLUTION BABY! That is gonna be the tightest of them all! I can't wait 'till it comes out.

Gamecube has some amazing games and it's a really great console. It's just that it doesn't have all the "hxc killin gamez lolzz" *rolls eyes* I mean, it has Tales of Symphonia, which is probably one of the best games in existance. And Zelda!

i dont think graphics really make a console good or not, its the story line of the games. and most games on gamecube arnt that great. but gamecube is a lot better then xbox in my point of view

Lets clear things up. Look, Gamecube is a great console, and I'm glad that it came out. However, when compared to the other two current consoles (meaning PS2 and Xbox, it's inferior to its competition. Lets show the reasons:

1. Lack of REALLY good games.
Sure, it has Wind Waker, Super Smash Bros. Super Mario Sunshine, RE4 and Metroid Prime, but it misses out on too much. Xbox has the best shooters (Halo 1&2 and Half-life 2) and took advantage of also having the GTA games. Plus, it has the KoTOR series, Ninja Gaidien and Jet Set Radio Future, and that's just some of them. PS2 carries the famed Metal Gear Solid series, SOCOM, the Katamari Damacy series, the best of the DDR games, the best music game ever created: Rez, all of the GTA games and was able to sneak RE4 over with added extras.

2. Online.
Xbox and PS2 are booming with great online gameplay, but Gamecube has only two games which can go online. Xbox and PS2 are bringing people together, but Gamecube has you all by yourself or playing their only superb multiplayer game, Super Smash Bros. Melee.

3. Genre coverage.
If you study the three systems, you'll see that each have a strong point in certain genres. Xbox does great in shooters (Halo), action (Ninja Gaidien) and even RPGs (claims both Morrowind and the KoTOR series). PS2 has its hands on the stealth (MGS), racing (Grand Tourismo), RPGs (you already know), fighting (Soul Calibur 2&3 and Virtua Fighter), music (DDR and Rez) and the "other" genre (Katamari Damacy). Gamecube only does well in platform, however.

Those are my reasons why Gamecube comes in third.

the game cube is a superior console to the wii IMO

I reckon they both rock, I just wish Nintendo would shorten the gap between the releases of some of their trademark, conole games, like LOZ, Star Fox, and Donkey Kong.

Nintendo has been solid, and pretty much always has been. Historically their strength has been in releasing games that keep people interested in the console they already have. Then when the demand is there for a new console they release one when they've got it right, with have enough games in the pipeline to make it a contender (Virtuaboy not withstanding).

In my opinion, Gamecube isn't the worst console. I did have a Gamecube, but I only have few games, and it doesn't have the games I wanted. What I want to say is correct console, bad timing.

The worst console according to critics is the Virtual Boy for some reasons.

Go get a Wii. It's better than I expected.

You missed the pack-in, Wii Sports. I just use the Wii as a party console. Some friends, a case of beer, and Boom Blox is as good as the Wii gets.

Although I wish Nintendo would get off its lazy arse and make some games, 5 titles worth buying on a console isn't really "pathetic" in contrast to every other console that's currently available. There’s only about 5 titles on the 360 that I’d buy, and even less on the PS3.

Well, I'm generalizing...

Personally, the only games I would buy are:

Lost Odyssey and GTA IV but, you might be interested in Halo 3 (if you're into that sort of thing), Gears Of War 1 and 2, and Fable 2.

I've also been hankering to try out Street Figher IV.

I'm the same... It's been that way for the past decade, hasn't?

Looking at it more thoroughly, the Wii actually has quite a few games worth picking up, probably more than any other console :P depending on what you like of course. You've got LOZ TP, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Mario Kart Wii, SSBB, Okami, Wii-Sports, and let’s not forget the crap load of games you can download. One of my favorite games to play on the Wii is still Link to the Past.
